The origin story of the Rivet Series began in 2011 at Statens Værksteder for Kunst, where, after difficulties with welding aluminum sheets, Jonas Trampedach discovered the innovative riveting technique suitable for creating 90-degree connections between individual plates. This discovery marked a turning point in the design process, giving the Rivet Series its unique features and industrial aesthetics.
